About Us
Palestine Aid is a charity with a 100% donation policy based in Belfast, Northern Ireland dedicated to bringing help and hope to families in distress in Gaza.
Founded in 2011 by a group of volunteers that returned from a medical aid mission to Gaza in 2010, the charity has grown significantly since formally registering with The Charity Commission for Northern Ireland in 2018. Now in our second decade of existence, we remain true to our values as a volunteer led charity with no paid staff nor any costly overheads. 100% of your donations go to charitable activities.
Under the leadership of our Patron, His Excellency (retired) Saeb Sha’ath, Former Ambassador of the State of Palestine to the Republic of Ireland, we have established extensive long-term projects that provide aid to those most vulnerable in need in Gaza. You can read more about our projects here.

FAQ
Does your 100% donation policy, really mean 100%?
Absolutely. At Palestine Aid, 100% means 100% when it comes to our donation policy. Our operating costs are solely and strictly recovered from Gift Aid.
Can I donate my Zakat or Sadaqah?
Definitely. All donations including Sadaqah and Zakat have a 100% donation policy.
Are you a Muslim charity?
Since our establishment, our Board of Trustees has consisted of a mix of both Muslim and non-Muslim colleagues. We are a team of God fearing volunteers that believe in justice and equality and peacefully oppose all forms of discrimination, inequality, injustice and genocide.
Do you have any links to Hamas, the Palestinian National Authority or State of Israel?
Absolutely not. We are an apolitical, independent Charity registered and regulated by The Charity Commission for Northern Ireland, solely dedicated to delivering urgent humanitarian aid to our Palestinian brothers and sisters in Gaza.
Why don’t you accept donations via card payment(s)?
Several merchants have documented links to corporations and lobby groups that we deem to be engaged in unethical activities that impact the people of Gaza. As an ethical charity, we only accept donations via SMS or bank transfer.
